The new website sees the final transfer of activities from the private company, National Standards Pty Ltd (NS P/L) to the not-for- profit limited by guarantee, National Standards Development Organisation Limited (NSDO). The website outlines the governance and structure of the new standards developer as well as providing access to the standards and other standards normative publications published by NSDO as well as by the former NS P/L. It also includes an online form for organisations and individuals to join NSDO at no cost as well as detailing the benefits of being a member and supporter of NSDO.
Peter walsh the Managing Director and Interim Chairman commented “the launch of the NSDO website puts the last step of the transition from NS P/L in place. The direction of new organisation will now be determined by its members. While the interim Board of Directors are highly qualified to administer the organisation, members will determine a majority of the composition of the Board at the first NSDO General Meeting and Members Assembly scheduled to be held in June 2014. Stakeholder organisations, both from the private and public sector as well as individuals are now invited to join. NSDO in now ‘open for business’”.
